09:00 am - "The world's a stage and life is a musical...

...so get out there and sing and dance!" That quote is from my good friend Rachel and I have to agree.

My name is Nikki (pen name of T.M. Blanche), a college Education major and Theatre Arts minor, and I am so happy to be a member of this community.

I love the stage so much. There is a special feeling and thrill that I get from performing that I can't get anywhere else and that I can't even put into words. It's something that has to be experienced. I've been acting since I was 6 and I'm still doing it almost 14 years later. I have nearly 20 shows to my credit, playing everything from "Girl #1" in "Jack and the Beanstalk" to the understudy for Meg in "Brigadoon." All of my shows have been through my schools, but I'm dying to do some community work when time permits. Most recently, I'm preparing for my college's fall production of "The Threepenny Opera." Auditions are at the end of August...wish me luck!

Aside from performance, I also love to watch theatre.  I go to my cousins' shows and to other shows around my area.  Recently, my mom and I went to go see Disney's "On the Record," featuring 64 Disney songs.  It was fantastic.  We're trying to get tickets to the upcoming Broadway series at our city's nationally recognized theatre, which includes "Little Shop of Horrors," "Little Women," and "Wicked."

For those of you who'd like to see a listing of my theatre credits, click here.  (I'm trying to fix the background.)

Well, that's all for now.  Again, so glad to be a part of the community.
